Yo hoo… Folks.. Monkey is back!!! =D

Misses korea a lot…. like the weather there, like the food there, like the slower pace there… like the fact that i no need to think about anything during the 8days, can escape from reality for a moment..

Though there were quite a no. of hiccups during the trip… sigh… suan le… 气都气了。。 there’s nothing much i can do… den y should i take it to heart mann…

Have taken a lot of pics… total of 1118pics.. haha.. A lot, rite… mostly were scenic pics…

Now that i am bk in singapore… there are so much worries and frustration… so many decisions need to be made, so much dilemma… U know i hate making decisions, always involve opportunity costs… HATE IT….

To accept or reject? Dunno….. I onli know i have nothing to give now… so who am i to accept…. :s

To those who will be missing me….

I will be out of Singapore from 14 June to 21 June.

Watched this show last sat.

A veri veri veri heavy show.

This show has been highly recommended on papers, having more than 4stars.

Hmmm.. But i will say this show is only suitable who like intellectual, detective shows. But be prepared as this show is 3hrs long and can be taxing on the brain.

 I like the pace of the show. The director was also skillful in building up the suspense feel in the show. The actors were good, needless to say. The show was organized and bring us bring the milestone of how the US police hunt down for the serial killer.

In the end, the killer was found, a bit disappointing though.

Not to forget this movie is based on a true life story.

PS: Finally had my lst Carl Junior’s after 3months =D Thanks XJ for granting me the permission. But sorry for the twin peak 😛

Yesterday we went to the Golden Mile Food Centre, after hitting at the PC Show..This is again a long overdue trip.. Wanted to try some of the best delicacies there 🙂 We reached there at 230pm, not much crowd. Started roaming the place to search for the Char Kway Teow!!! The well know Lard-free CKT with lotsa of Choy Sim!!!! Found it. The proportion is said to have reduced as compared to last time. Hmmmm.. Not very fantastic. But at least it’s healthy. Like the ikan bills on top which serve as a garnish.

Oh.. we order the Zhao An Grass Jelly. Cooling for such a hot day!!! It’s really not too sweet and the Grass Jelly is really smooth.. 

Lastly, how can we forget this… Our ultimate objective for this trip is <The Sweet Stone Parad’Ice> The media and food blogs have been writing so much about it that we cannot give it a miss mann..

We ordered 2 waffles, 1 gelato and 1 choc dip. Not much icecream flavours were left, so we just settle for the NICE GREENIE LOOK Green Tea icecream. The Green Tea icecream is not bad, a bit milky. Taste Like Green Tea Flavoured Teh si..hehe oh… the choc dip is so good.. u will feel tat u are swimming in a choc puddle. Not too sweet yet strong choc taste. Fantastic when goes with the nice german waffles. Love the waffles, it’s very layered and there’s sugar in it which gives the crunchy feel when eating it. All this cost us $6 only. Cheap cheap!!!

And one thing we were amazed by their computer system in the stall. Haha oh they really should expand. 🙂

In the show, she put on a stunning sexy performance, protraying as a webcam exhibitionist. Her marketing slogan is damn sexy. 哥哥， 要独占我吗？ Argh.. It will bring all your goose bumps up.. haha

The story is pretty unique. Started off with Rainie looking for a tatoo artist for a tatoo job. This is where Isabella came in as the artist. She is quite 有性格。。 How to describe? She’s like a butch with a feminine side. Quite like her performance in her side, esp for a newbie (nominated during the 香港金像奖). She was quite daring for her 激情戏。And she realli look different with and without specs. 🙂

A very short movie and nearly touched my heart..

I didn’t watch the Part 2. Dun ask me why.. Cos I can’t rem why I didn’t watch it. Keke

Well, Well, Well….

The show is a bit draggy… At some points.. It’s just talking and talking for the sake of talking, some scenes were just redundant.

Luckily the show is saved by the last 30mins of fighting. That sort of like wake us up..

If you never watch the Part 2, u can still watch Part 3, except that pls do find out why is the heart in the crest before u enter the theatre.

Oh… not forgetting..

– Of course the Pizzas. Very cheap. We ordered the New Yorker (meal with chicken wing and drink) which cost $6.90

– AH!!! New York Cheese Fries!!!! Cost only $2.90. The fries are realli made of potato!! Serious… U can taste the sweetness of the potato in dem!! and with the cheese and mayo sauce… Oh.. u realli can die for dem mann.. haha

Always wondered why they never open more branches…. My friend guessed it could be a family biz.

Went to Canele 3 weeks ago.. They serve beautiful cakes and desserts!

Ordered the *With tomato, bacon and Emmental cheese, served with salad Crepe*. It was a big portion, just nice for 2 persons to share. The drinks were special too. We ordered Dry Dessrt Lime and Bushmen Brew. The DDL taste like orange juice, very nice.

Next, we ordered the EarlGrey Ice-cream. Fantastic taste, esp at a time when we are getting sick of Green Tea ice-cream. 🙂 It realli had the earlgrey smell and taste.

Cakes!!  How can we forget about them? Haha. We ordered the most beautiful and most handsome couple in the cafe… haha

Ms Strawberry Shortcake & Mr Oreo Cheesecake. Oh how lovely they were.

The strawberry shortcake was not very creamy, served with fresh strawberries. U will never get sick of them mann.

The oreo cheesecake was not too sweet and was stuffed with generous amounts of oreo.

The restaurant was normally visited by ladies, who simply just love the cakes.

Go there with a few friends to chill out …..

Yesterday went to see this show with my friend at Lido. It’s been ages since i last step into Lido… When’s the last time? Let me try to recall… hmmss…

I tik it was a free show. Oh… It’s Silent Hill!!! 🙂

Finally, Lido has renovated. Gone were the days where the chairs will squeak when u rock them. Or when u lie back, the person behind also need to follow suit. Simply cos the leg area is too cramped.- – ” Now it is furnished with better chairs and my legs doesn’t feel so cramped 🙂

I was sitting at the last row… Could have enjoyed my show better if not for this stupid backbone prob woman, who keep sitting f***ing straight. DUH!!

The show was pretty funny. The audience were mostly tickled by the French Humour, though at some parts, all were laughing except us – -“” The story was about this bartender who fall hopelessly in love with this gold-digger gorgeous woman. His 1-nite stand with her jeopardized her chance to marry an filthy rich old man. Despite being a pauper, he continues to follow her, tortured by her greed in spending his *super limited* funds. In the end, he got no choice, but to become a gigglo to pay off his debts. The couple soon realize the deepest love and desire and discover that they have realli fall in love.

Go watch the show. No worries about not able to understand French.

Fri afternoon, we finally made a trip down to Victor’s Kitchen at Sunshine Plaza (Selegie Road). This is a long long long overdue trip le.. We have seen and heard so much about this place on the foodblogs and FINALLY today we can 品尝品尝了 🙂

We ordered 2 荷叶饭s. It is FANTASTIC. Like the fragrance of it and the glutinous rice is not too sticky or hard. Once u taste it, you can’t resist from taking another mouthful.

Next, the 虾饺. GOOD. The skin is not too thick. When the 虾饺  is in your mouth, you can onli feel the 虾, but not the 皮.

Next is the 猪肠粉. It’s wrapped with generous amts of 叉烧 ! 🙂

Next is the STEAMED CARROT CAKE.. It’s with scallops.. (though i never taste the scallops). The taste was good, esp the gravy!!

Last is the porridge! The naming conventions were so funny. There was this mixed porridge called WALA WALA ZHOU, Fish porridge named NEMO ZHOU, Chicken porridge called PHOENIX ZHOU .. wahahahha

oh.. we ordered the WALA WALA ZHOU, but i tik the person mixed up the order. What we have was a super clear porridege with lotsa fish. I guess should be the NEMO’s. Porridge was not fantastic, but reasonable. However, a bit too much pepper le.

Overall, we pay about $24, 3 persons sharing.

Pretty cheap for such quality DIM SUM LUNCH.

Highly recommended to go for another round!

Watched this movie yesterday

This is a R21 Show.

It was an out of impulse to watch this show.

Reason No.1: My life is getting boring-er and boring-er

Reason No.2: Long time never watch a good R21 show with *substance*

Reason No.3: Someone want to watch with me 🙂

Review of the show.. A bit draggy.. 120mins is too long for a R21 show.  A lot of sex scenes, on an average about 1 scene every 15mins. A bit too much, i tik. In fact, this is my lst time watching an Asian R21 show. A bit weird.. K, enuf of the sexual parts, the story is just about this girl’s desires to be loved and *made love upon*.. and the story is circling about her and her love of the Uni days. This show also features the TIAN-AN-MEN era. In short, the plot is too weak and if not for those scenes, the show will make u fall asleep. haha. But no harm watching it… esp since it’s a R21 ASIAN movie.

PS: I was really taken aback by the question u asked. Haha.

30 April was the sweetest day of my life…. 🙂

Ah… Dun let yr thoughts run wild 😛 I mean sweet as in realli tastefully sweet.

Last Fri, my friend and I decided to queue for the donuts at Raffles City Donuts Factory. When we reached there, the queue was super long!! – – ” We were at the 3rd sector.. Super Fei. After more than 1.5 hrs, we barely move more than 15 steps.. DUH… decided to give up… We were so tempted to just bribe one of the *pioneers* in front to get 2 donuts for us.. So much that we wan to do it.. we decided not to take the risk of getting bashed up by the hungry queuers… 😦

我们决定了…. We shall employ someone to queue for us…. haha…Ms Ho was the selected lucky employee… Hehe.. I know what Ms Guo will say… Child Abuse/Labour… haha.. We paid her handsomely, k??? 🙂Ms Ho queued for 3.5 hrs yesterday.. and finally got us 12 DONUTs. For that, she was paid $20 wages (not inclusive of CPF)…  

Hmm…  Dunno y we dun find the Donuts Fantastic leh… Perhaps cos we didn’t queue for it, or maybe it was not tat hot, or maybe we have jus wait too long for its arrival… haha. BUT most people who had a taste it reviewed tat it was GOOD and the donut was fluffy and soft,  esp the WHITE CHOC one.. There’s choc oozing out in the middle..

Nighttime… We decided to go to Bakerinz. Promised to bring my friend to there to taste the *LONG AWAITED* Warm CHOCOLATE CAKE... haha esp the Lava Choc flowing out as Vanilla icecream melts.. *slurps*Ohh..Before that we went to Borders.. Managed to get a 30% coupon from papers… Bought a book titled THE GAME by Neil Strauss.. Quite an interesting material.. AH.. quite a lot of kinky stuff… hehe. It teaches men hw to be a PUA ~~ PickUp Artist

At Bakerinz.. we ate the Mushroom Linguine at almost 930pm.. Nice!! I tik cos we were too HUNGRY.. haha.. We went on to eat the WCC… Fantastic!

Now u still sees it…

Next Minute it’s GONE!!!!! 🙂

They also serve the 3 items for $9.80 for sorbet/icecream/tapas. We ordered Lime Sorbet, Forest Fruit Icecream and coupe cheesecake…. i like the coupe cheesecake.. it’s basically taste jus like icecream but yr brain will tell u it’s cheesecake taste…amazing… the Lime sorbet was a bit sour.. and the Forest Fruit was good..

Today was really a sea of desserts for both of us 🙂

Watched 2 movies over the past week….
Let’s talk about the Fracture lst…. 

Tis movie has nothing to do with fracture of arm, leg or neck… In fact till now, i still dun understand why this show is called FRACTURE!!!!!…
Good cast! Thumbs up for Anthony Hopkins’s acting. Ryan Gosling was quite cute…
The whole show started off with Hopkins killing his wife upon knowing that she’s having an affair.. He killed her… police came.. he surrendered… confessed to the crime. The negotiator/inspector turned out to be the wife’s lover… But…. there’s no proof that he killed his wife…Gosling was the proscecutor for this case.. He’s faced with the dilemma to join a lavish law firm or to continue taking up this case, accepting Hopkins’s challenge….
The main key to this case is… Where’s the fxxxing gun that shot the wife???!!!!
Overall the show can be quite dragging… cos of the talking and talking and talking… But luckily it was saved by the good acting… or else i think i will fall asleep before they finds the gun.. This show requires full patience and concentraton. There’s a twist to the ending… hmm.. shall not reveal that… The gun is definately there and is found… 🙂

Go and watch it.. and bring your thinking cap along…

Next…. The Hills Have eyes 2…

Dun freak out… The show is not as scary as speculated… 🙂

Before i enter Cathay, i met an ex-colleague… she told me… 不好看的. she said the part 1 was a trauma for her.. it featured a deformed man raping a woman… Wow… I was like hmmm.. interesting, maybe i need counselling after the show.. Anyway, it’s R21, so i expect some damn gruesome or nude scenes 🙂

The show turned out to be a comedy thriller for me and my friend. Scary?? Nah. not so much. it’s more of the few deformed soldiers creeping here and den around the hills, preying at their newly arrived *food* ~ the US army recuits..

Got a few gruesome scenes… Jus to name a few..

there’s one that showed the crushing of the leg when the man was pulled down into the hole, there’s also another which show the chopping off the arm and the deformed used the chopped off arm to wave BYEBYE to the victim… damn lame mann.. k, what else… hmm… there’s the sex scene. one of female recruits was captured  and raped. no nudity… dun expect to see any P**is or Br***ts.. jus the actions.. and the PAPA deformed was ugly and dirty and slimey…

I think there’ll be a HHE3 coming soon… cos the war was not won… so watch out for that space mann…

If u wan a good laugh, go watch it… mk sure u r 21yrs and above wor.. 🙂

PS: But somehow my friend had a nightmare after that.. she turned into one of the deformed with half-bald head and patches of skin… yucks.. wahaha
